MALIKA KAITA

Malika Kaita is a versatile singer, performer, composer, arranger, improviser, lyricist & teacher who is rooted in jazz and African rhythms and enjoys exploring language, phrasing and music from all over the world. The Bernese singer with Ghanaian roots has a warm and timbred voice. She is currently studying jazz singing at the Lucerne School of Music.

For her, music is a love of jazz, a love of language and rhythm and a curiosity for a wide variety of music.
This is reflected in her own compositions and in the various formations to which she gives voice with passion.

Music for people who yearn – yearn for belonging, who want to dream and indulge in the unknown.
Even if a touch of melancholy sometimes shimmers through, ‘African’ joie de vivre always pulsates along.
